10 reasons why being a real estate agent is the best job in the world.

    1. You can make one million dollars a year with little tertiary education
    2. You meet lots of interesting different people every day
    3. You get happy by serving people and see them get happy
    4. You make other people wealthy by investing in the best asset in the world and they make money while they sleep
5.You can control the pace of the work. You can work hard or work easy
    6. You gain market intelligence which can help you make sound decisions about investing in real estate yourself
    7. The more successful you become , the more you develop as a person
    8. The time period between response and reward is small. Some of the best agents have been around for less than 5 yrs . You could not do that in the medical profession .
    9. You do not have a boss. Whether you are a salesperson or principal you have control of your destiny.
    10. The competition is not hard. It is over crowded with mediocrity and has plenty of room for decent people who are happy to work hard and serve people with integrity and skill.

    Hi Tom
Thanks for those. Also really enjoyed your talk at the Ignite 10 Brisbane today. The day was fully loaded..:) Whilst I respect the wealth of info that was presented – your lovely 10 maintain perspective. This is particularly important to me as I am about to enter the industry and they (more or less) are reasons I identified when considering the choice as my change.
Also I heard and see on your twitter that you have recovered from Cancer – that’s fantastic and long may it be so. I also see your comments about being our best selves today etc or words to that effect. Have you read/listened to ‘What Dying People Want’(2002)by Dr David KUHL? (could sound ominous or scary but I found it positive and inspiring). After reading it I thought I would definitely present the argument that most people do not know how to live fully until they read/listen to that book or live the knowledge it contains. I’m currently working on a site that promotes this whole idea to the individual – being who they are and ‘revelling’ in it because they cannot be anyone else and really why would you want to be? Definitely can’t live fully unless you’re yourself etc., – as I’m sure you are aware… Best wishes to you and yours:)
